Edit, approve and delete updates

Change your own update the same day; your reporting manager approves or rejects it.

Open an update

Select a person in Daily Updates to open their update for the day. It shows each project's hours, task description, blockers, plan, linked tickets and approval state.

Edit your own update

You can edit your update on the day it's for. Open it, change it, and save. Afterwards it's read-only. Nobody else can edit your update, including Admins and your reporting manager.

Remove an update for a project

While editing today's update, deselect a project and save. The update for that project is removed. Only you can delete your updates, and only on the day they're for.

Approve or reject updates

Your reporting manager, the person in your Reports To field, reviews your updates. This is separate from roles: an Admin or Lead who isn't your reporting manager can't approve your updates, and you can't approve your own. Your reporting manager can:

  • Approve the update. It shows Approved by with their name.
  • Reject the hours on the update.
  • Add a review comment.

They can't change what you wrote. You're notified when your update is approved, rejected or commented on.

Approval stateMeaning
PendingNot reviewed yet.
ApprovedYour reporting manager approved it.
RejectedYour reporting manager rejected the hours.
